I agree. Things are slow these days, CCIE or not. It has become an
employer's market, they pick and choose the best out of many candidates.
There was an opening at a large telco and 3 CCIE's, 3 CCNP's and 1 CCNA
were interviewed for 1 position. So yes, it is very competitive and very
few jobs. I think UI in the USA was extended another 15 weeks cause
things are slow for job seekers. IT managers(myself incl.) don't
forecast bigger spending budgets until mid' 2003. If there are any more
terrorist attacks surely that timeline will be prolonged.

How do others feel about the job market?
