Well, I couldn't let the Air Force have a CCIE without the Navy having one
also, although it's only for a couple of months as I retire in June.

I finally passed this beast of a test yesterday at RTP yesterday and let me
say that I feel great. I have been more than once let me just say that. The
Proctors at RTP are superb, they definitely take an interest in each and every
candidate and will do what they can to help you read through the question and
get to the meat of the task without giving out the answer ! Thanks to Robin
and Howard for their help in RTP, I won't be seeing you again hahahaha....

Thanks to Barry Rowland who is my study partner, lots of time over at his
house working on the rack ! lots of "why the heck isn't this working ???".

Thanks to this group, what an outstanding source of information this forum is,
the answer to any question you could possibly have is hidden somewhere deep in
the archives, just take a little time to search it out !

And last but not least thanks to my wife and kids who have been great about
this whole thing. Lots of weekends where I was gone over to Barry's to bash
my head against the wall on the labs, well, it's payback time I'm sure
hahahah..

I read all the same books everybody else did. Did lots and lots of labs on
our practice rack, I was to the point where I was debugging in my sleep
haahaha. I think the key this time was that I had time to go back over my lab
in RTP and check for the small stupid mistakes, which I found quite a few of.
A mistyped IP here, a wrong dialer map there is enough to fail everytime.....

So, time to take a week or two off then start looking for a job !......bobdu1
