I do not understand this? You need a dialer-group to bind to a dialer-list
to specifiy interesting traffic to bring up the link. You need the dialer
pool to bind the dialer interface with a bri. What does using a dialer group
have to do with callback?

I think what you are saying is that since the callback request and callback
accept are on the BRI as well as the dialer that perhaps the dialer
interface isn't actually being used? It would have to be to place the
initial call but after that maybe you are right.
If you do a debug dialer during this process and it will tell you if the
call is being bound to a profile. I haven't tried it but it makes sense that
this could be the case (that only the physical interfaces are actually being
used). But I don't think dialer group has anything to do with it.
