I have a solution for the W2K and XP problem with the Cisco Documentation
CD.
Once you install the CD go to the Cisco folder and modify the search.ini
Change the path to your browser from the fully qualified path to this:
Browser=msie
This of course only works if you are using msie. Good luck!!!

The Documentation CD uses propriatory compression forcing you to load the
page through a webserver. Is there an easier way to browse it? And I've
never been able to get it to work right on win 2K or NT. How do you all use
it?
