Larry,
if you want to set your switch to have the WORST chance of being ROOT,
the easiest way is to set the priority for the SPECIFIC vlan(s) to the
highest possible setting:
set spantree priority 65535 [vlan] <---- if not specified, VLAN1 is
assumed.
Be careful and always specify the VLAN. This catches a lot of people and
if you don't pick the right VLAN, even though you may know what you are
doing, the proctors will MARK IT WRONG and you loose all the BULLET
POINTS for that question. NO PARTIAL credit. Remember that it is very
easy to bleed points in the lab. Once wrong thing, all of the section is
wrong!
