No-summary blocks Type 3 network-summary LSA, default routes
are advertised in Type 3 LSA.

If you write "no-summary" the abr is not be able to advertise
a default route in to the nssa due blocking of type 3 LSA
The workaround to advertise a default route is the
default-information-originate command

I am not shure but i think you need the static route as well.

Subject: area 1 nssa default-information-originate no-summary

Hi all,

How is this "area 1 nssa no-summary" different from this:

"area 1 nssa default-information-originate no-summary"

Doesn't the no-summary keyword put in a default route?

So when and why do I need to add "default-information-originate"

confused as usual.
GW
