Ahmed,

Turn on ILMI by: (exact syntax escapes me right now, hope they are
correct. When in doubt, QUESTION MARK)

pcv 0/16 ilmi

Then do a

show atm-ilmi-status

This will tell you 1. did the switch register my device? 2. what is the
NSAP prefix for all devices on that LS1010.

The ESI, or the last part of the address is either picked automatically
or, you can set it yourself for devices you control. THis is my
recommended way to do it.

Int ATM 0/0
 atm esi-address 1111.1111.1111.00

The selector bit matters not in SVC unless doing LANE (not relevant for
the current exam)

If really doing CLIP, don't forget QSAAL... as atm uses out of band
signaling for call setup and teardown via a dedicated PVC

pvc 0/5 qsaal

Go to Cisco ATM bible for more details: watch for wrap

cdatm.htm

Good luck
