You only basically have two choices...MD5 or clear text....familiarize
yourself with both...they might mix them on the lab

Subject: OSPF Authentication
I have been working on a lab (IPexpert) which specifically asks me to
use
authentication for area 0. They specifically state use a "one way
hash".
Now I have of course reviewed the configs and see that I need to put the
following under ospf:
router ospf 1
area 0 authentication message-digets
Interface e0
ip ospf authentication message-digest 1 md5 cisco
Or something to that effect. Here is the concern. Apparently
several
ways to configure different types of encryption clear text/md5 etc....
I am
not sure how to differentiate between them. Anyone have any good
links?
Or should I just pray that on the lab they as me to configure encryption
with
a "one way hash? " :)
Thanks,
