Hi,
You cannot enter any ip routing protocol configuration modes because that
command starts the process (it would happend the same if you try to enter
any IPX routing protocol config mode). When you enter the commands you are
actually modifing the config running. I mean, you are using 'hot' commands.
If the router lets you enter the command to actually modify the defaul
running configuration is because the process is running and the config agent
is accepting commands to modify the process behavior.
That is the reason why you should be carefull entering commands, because
inmediately after you enter the command it takes effect.
If you feel I'm wrong, please help me.

I know that ,so ospf up or not is not an issue here, what I mean is why
can't I enter routing protocol config mode???
