I have the configuration you're talking about and PAT provide you complete secu
rity as it does not allow any translation from outside to inside. You're gonna
start to worry if you want to allow any access from the outside to any inside h
ost/device.

network (which uses private address space addresses) is severely constrained,
but common sense tells me that this cannot be enough protection, so what are
the remaining attacks that a hacker/cracker could try, if he was interested in
my lowly home PC(s). To make matters worse, it is the notoriously insecure
cable modem, not DSL.
