Have you run " show flash chips" ? If it is recognised it will
usually tell you if your flash is compatible with the Rom version you
have. I have several 2500 routers of various vintages, and when I bought
some new flash I had a similar problem. I ended up moving the new flash
to the box with the latest rom, and putting the older flash in the older
boxes. I still ended up having to buy some newer Rom off of eBay, it was
pretty cheap.
