Hi,
I was thinking to configure FRTS for voice using Cisco's guidelines for
the TC fragmentation and CIR/mincir values. If I do this would I not
need WRED? It seems difficult to configure them together. But if I did
need traffic shaping and WRED for other applications would creating a
priority-map, applying WRED and shaping in that map and applying that to
the interface be the way to do it?
In other words I can use the shaping for the voice and under a different
sub-interface use WRED? But this way I can't fragment. Also I noticed
with a service-policy applied the queuing method says CBWFQ under the
main interface. Is WRED running anyway? If I try to configure WRED by
having it in a service-policy under a class-map frame-relay it is
removed once applied to the DLCI. Am I going about this in the wrong
way? Please advise.
