You can upgrade your boot prom to recognize a mixture of Intel and AMD chips.
I would reccomend getting the latest boot proms (11.x). Some people on this li
st have reccomended getting boot proms for free from cisco. I never tried that
but I recently purchased a few sets on ebay for $10 a set. I replaced the boo
t proms and all my "reversed chip" memory erros went away. The boot proms are
very easy to replace.
