But if another switch also have the priority as 65535 , how can I do ?

I think the switch which have the higher MAC-address will not be the root switc
h if they have the same priority , if another switch have the higher mac-addre
ss , than how to configure my switch to not be the root ?

thanks for your reply ,

Clarke

It may be that the requirement needs to be clarified. The only way I know to g
uarantee a switch CANNOT be the root for a vlan, is to disable STP for that vla
n in that switch, which is generally not preferred.

If STP is enabled, and the switch is the only switch in the vlan, then it sure
as heck will be the root, and there ain't a dang thing you can do about it.

I suspect that the requirement is better stated: assure that relative to other
switches, this switch is "unlikely" to become the root. In which case:

set spantree priority 65535 X Where X is the vlan.
