Subject: RE: Advertising Default route under RIP 1.0
Sorry guys.....got it now.
"Default-information originate" under RIP will cause the router to generate
default route towards RIP domain without even having any "IP
default-network..." configured or any other default route in Routing table.

All,
Assuming RIP V1.0.D
Once you configure "IP default-network 192.168.1.0" on RIP speaking router
(where 192.168.1.0/24 is directely connected)(marked with * in Routing
table)
The routr starts advertins itself as defaul router to all other RIP talking
routers. That applies wether "Default-information originate" is configured
OR NOT.
What is the point of using "default-information originate"??
Thanks in advance
Yakout
