In Caslow, he implies that if you enter in the frame-relay
interface-dlci command first then you can enter in map statements that
reference the same dlci and it will work.
If, however, if you do it the opposite way the map statements will be
deleted. I have not tried this in 12.1 as far as the proper order. In
hindsight, when I have used it I can't remember doing it in a specific
order. I will test that today as well and see.

and it doesn't matter that there were previous frame relay maps on that
interface, Caslow's book says on page 135 that if I have maps on a sub
interface and use Frame-relay interface-dlci command the maps will be
lost,
or should I use the dlci command and the configure the maps?
