Hi,
Ok, thought I knew BGP some, but now I question myself. Can someone give
yes/no answers to the following? (Assume whatever in regard to sync, but
assume that all connections are reachable in each AS via an IGP.)
1) An EBGP router receives a route from EBGP peer 'A'. It is connected to
another EBGP peer 'B'. So it automatically advertises what it receives from
'A' to the other EBGP peer 'B'?
2) An EBGP router receives a route from IBGP peer 'iA'. It is connected to
EBGP peer 'B'. So it automatically advertises what it receives from 'iA' to
EBGP peer 'B' even if there were one or more iBGP connections or even if
some non BGP routers were involved in the transfer?
3) An EBGP router receives a route from IBGP peer 'icA' which is also a
confederation peer. It is connected to EBGP peer 'B'. So it does not
advertise what it receives from 'icA' to EBGP peer 'B'?
This is what I believe I have seen. But number 3 really has me confused.
TIA
GW
