The "sh ip rip database" command will show you the content of the rip
database, however, it is only available after 12.1 version. My guess is this
database still exists in the earlier IOS version, IOS just didn't offer the
command to let you view it.

I don't think there's such a thing as RIP route database.
The RIP process will pick up routes directly from the
routing table, whereas ospf picks from its database.
