No 1600 models exist for token ring ...

All models were ethernet 10 mbps only for the lan interfaces.

Cisco's sold millions of 2500s. There are tons available on Ebay and other
places. 1600s are much rarer. I'm not sure if a token ring 1600 even
exists. 2500's have a good choice of interfaces. Plus they're what's in
the lab.
