As far as I can tell, this is true. There are some exceptions, but they're
based solely on the CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System (head-end stuff)).
So if we're talking about the cable modem world, yes it can be done! For
every other place, I don't think it's possible.

But your DHCP server can set up secondary policies and you may be able to
tweak how they're chosen and what's used. But that's up to the server that
you have. Cisco's CNR (network registrar) works very well with doing this!

I believe the giaddr field will be populated with the primary interfaces
subnet ID. I could be wrong, but I think I remember seeing this behaviour.
