Have you read these?

1) Internetworking with TCP/IP Vol. I: Principles, Protocols, and
Architecture by Douglas Comer

2) Interconnections: Bridges, Routers, Switches, and Internetworking
Protocols by Radia Perlman

If you haven't already read these, make sure you do before reading books
likes 'Routing TCP/IP' or 'Internet Routing Architectures'.

Think about it. How can someone fully benefit from a book about routing IP if
then don't really know IP? I don't mean basic things like how to subnet or
what ICMP is. I'm taking about knowing IP indepth. People need to lay the
proper foundation of knowledge to build on or they will reget it later.
