The Parkhurst book is AWESOME!!! loaded with tons of ACCURATE configs
(unlike other configs being discussed on the list.) and labs you can set up
with only a minimal amount of routers.(He is currently the director of the
CCIE program at Cisco). Halabi spends much of his book on theory and only
does configs at the end. Parkhurst is all configs from cover to cover. He
does have appendices in the back that discuss the theory of BGP, as well as
the logic to how route maps work. It is a great book, especially if you have
already had experience with BGP.
