What Ethernet interface are you using, and additionally, what version of
boot-rom is installed in the router?

Subject: Boot Cisco 3620 using 'boot system tftp <IOS File name>'

I am attempting to boot a Cisco 3620 using a tftp server using :

system tftp <IOS File name> <IP address of TFTP server>

But the router fails to boot from the tftp server with the following error
message :

%SYS-6-READ_BOOTFILE _FAIL: tftp://10.1.1.1/c3620-js-mz_120-13.bin File
read failed -- Timed out.

The tftp server is connected on the same Ethernet LAN as the router.
I can ping the tftp server from router, and have also tried to configure
'ip default-gateway <IP address of tftp server>'. Still with no luck.

Looking at boot logs, I see that, when the router boots up, the
Frame-relay sub-interface's status has changed to ACTIVE but there is no
mention of
the Ethernet interface to which the TFTP Server is connected to.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks,
M Patel
