 The router does the best in can do take the place of a frame relay switch but
it cannot do everything.

To recieve fecn/becn, you must setup additional parameters on the switch. For
example, Peak rate, CIR, different queues
and at what point the fecn/becn will be triggered, etc... The router does not h
ave that capability. At least not that i know of.

When we configure the router as a frame switch, all we really told it to do is
configure dlci number at each port and which
way it should be routed out. It is missing everything else a normal frame swit
ch will give them.
