As per Cisco, all Catalyst switches are PLUG-N-PLAY out of the box.
Basically all ports are in VLAN 1 and enabled.. so you should be able to
get it to work. If in doubt, do a ERASE START and RELOAD and then try it
again...
You should have nothing to do except address the router interfaces to
get them to ping each other...
This may be insulting to you, but I do it all the time. Did you NO SHUT
the Ethernets on the router? :-))
