I thought that if you used the "subinterface" command that only PVCs with a
VPI matching your subinterface number would be applied to your sub
interface. In your example, ony PVCs with a VPI=1 would be applied to
ATM1/0.1.
Also, the PVC 0/5 qsaal command is not required for PVC Discovery.

I have been playing around with ATM PVC Discovery today and I just can't
seem to make it work (or I just don't understand it properly). Shouldn't I
be able to use the following configuration and then be able to show the
vc's
from the switch? My objective is to discover the vpi/vci pairs that are
being advertised from the switch.
