Makes total sense. The companies are not targeting individuals but
companies who send these individuals. I gues I would take the course if my
company was willing to pay. Well everything is out of my pocket, so for
that reason I would rather take the exam 10 times. No that does not mean I
am taking the exam 10 times, just a point.

I would make the same sort of comment about cost, but I entertain the
fantasy of getting a lucrative part-time teaching position with them or
some place like them, so I will refrain, sort of.

Heck. It would be fulfilling a fantasy just to work for the kind of
company that would send me to training courses like GK's (in the first
year on the job).

GK has an enviable niche. Every company gets their catalogs, so that
when you ask your boss to send you to a course, the boss will at least
recognize the name GK. Heinz Ulm is probably a great value (3 weeks for
about 7k), but far fewer bosses will feel comfortable sending you to
Germany to some course taught by an individual that only CCIE's and CCIE
candidate have ever heard of. Plus, GK will almost certainly be able to
fit you in, while Heinz Ulm has a waiting list.

I hope I will be able to take the Caslow-Pavlichenkow course at some
point. I live near Northern Virginia, so it is the obvious choice if I
can swing the time and money.

Wow thats expensive, to me it seems like it might be better off taking
the
test without taking any classes and do the self study and take the test.
Shoot with Global Knowledge and its costs I can take that test 10 times.
hehehe no flames :)

but one thing you want to pay attention to with Global Knowledge, is the
price on all of them= $12,780 if you want to take ACPC 1,2,3 and the
mock
lab....which doesnt include travel. Other camps are floating around the
$5000 with proven track records which are only 5 days long. GK's would
take
3 plus weeks of training. Is there anyone on this list with their
numbers
who have went to GK's camp?

I was able to attend Global Knowledge Advanced CCIE Prep Class 1,2 and
3.
I found them very informative and incredibly helpful in my training for
the
CCIE. Attending all 3 of the classes took months off of my training, The
instructors were very helpful in explaining what I did not understand,
pointing out my weaknesses and helping me understand what I needed to do
to
overcome.

I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about taking the
classes.
