maybe this would nullify what what you're trying to do, but you can connect
them with a frame-relay switch (with the appropriate interfaces) in between

56K uses pins 1, 2, 7, and 8 and T1 uses 1, 2, 4, and 5 They also use
different framing and modulation. So it will not work.
If you have two 56K CSUs you can use a Cisco console cable to cross connect
them since it is a rollover.

Here's a link describing the WIC-1DSU-56K4. I couldn't find a similar page
for the SM25-56K4, but I'm assuming they handle the 56K CSU/DSU part in a
similar fashion. I wonder if you made a special crossover cable (the pinouts
are different from T1) and set the T1 service-module for only 1 56K channel
if it would work? Probably not, as the T1 side will still be looking for
it's line code information just to set the one channel.

To all,
I have a 2524 router w/ a sm25-56k4 card. I am trying to connect this
module with a 2621 router w/ a wic-1dsu-t1 card by using a T-1 cross-over
cable, but haven't figured out how to do it or whether this is possible. I
know the cable is good because I used it for wic-1dsu-t1 to wic-1dsu-t1
connection before. Can any one help??? A sample config would also be
greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Tony Hanks
