Hi,
I really need some help.
I just bought a 3900 token ring switch and want to set it up so that
I can connect to it using my cisco 500-cs, which is acting as my
terminal server for reverse telnet. The problem I am having is I just
don't know how to set this part up for the 3900. its got an db9 port
for console conntectivity and I would like to put a db9 connecotr on it
and run the cable directly to the async ports on the terminal server.
The way I have it setup current I get a bunch of garbage show up on
the screen.
Also I would like to connect the token ring interfaces on my router
to the 3900. I am asumming I can just go out an buy some male db9
connectors and connect a straight through to the rj45 ports on the
switch. but again is what is the pinout for this. I have a couple of
2500 and a 4000 with a token ring module.
some guidance would be greatly appreciated.
