Happy Holidays,

I would like to clarify the following isdn problems,

R1 and R2 are connected thru isdn BRI (I use a isdn simulator)

my config are as follows

enc ppp
no ppp multilink
dialer map on both sides but only one side has the string.
no authentication

My findings are

1) with above config, it does not ping
2) it pings, if I configure ppp multilink on both sides
OR,
3) it pings if I configure dialer map with dial string on both side
OR,
4) it pings if I configure ppp authentication

Can anybody explain this behaviors?
