I agree with you on the above points about integrity and hard work. I don't
agree that most would bristle at the thought of consulting with those that
have already taken and passed the exam. You can call that cheating or you
could call that common sense. If I had to bet, I would bet that the
majority of individuals who hold the CCIE# have had access to information
that would be considered a violation of the NDA prior to taking the exam.
Is it right? Maybe not. Is it reality? Probably.
You can choose to characterize my comments as immaturity if you choose or you
can simply disagree with my ascertations. It is however my opinion. I
stand by my previous statements. I really don't consider it cheating to
spend 1000's of hours mastering the technologies in lab scenerios on top of
years of direct configuration of Cisco equipment at the workplace.

This exam can not be cheated through. End of story and that is why people
with the CCIE# are held in high esteem. If I theoretically took a weak
Cisco engineer and told them everything that was on it, they still wouldn't
pass without 1000's of hours of direct hands on.

Now back to work mastering IRB.
