Try using Expect (http://expect.nist.gov). It's one of the main scripting
languages that Cisco uses to automate the testing of routers and switches.
There is a port for Windows machines but running it on a Lunix/Unix box
can't be beat.

I'm currently using it for a project to automate a bunch of router/switch
"tasks". If you want any example scripts just let me know.
