Thanks to confirm what was my thinking after reading severals cisco docs.
i think your right also about confusion ;o)
I am sorry, but Rodgers is wrong. He may be confusing the OSPF DR election
where 0 means "do not particiapte". I work with Spanning Tree on a daily
basis and I am saying with 100% confidence (at least as far as the Cat 5K
and 6509) that "set spantree priority 0" is the right answer.

The only problem with 0 is this means that it cannot be the root bridge or
considered in choosing a root bridge. 1 is the lowest value and highest
priority for a device to be root.
