Abdul,
I don't think you can sort them, but with 12.1 (I think) and above,
you can use the "|" symbol after most commands. That's the shift-backslash
key on most keyboards. Then you have your choice of:
begin Begin with the line that matches
exclude Exclude lines that match
include Include lines that match
after the | .
So if you wanted to look for all routes including 192.168.1 in them,
you could do a:
sh ip route | inc 192.168.1
Not quite sorting, but still real helpful.
Chuck

Subject: Listing Routing Table in Numerical Order
Hello Guys,
Working on Bay BCN routers you can list the routing table routes in
numerical order. I am not sure if you could do this with Cisco routers. I
think having your routes in order can help cut down time searching routes in
the routing table. Please let us know if anyone out there knows how to do
this.
Thanks,
Abdul
