When you bring up a router in ROM monitor mode...you can assign it an IP
address and bring up the interface...IT will not run any routing
protocols...but standard TCP/IP communication to/from the router will
work just fine.

do I need to assign ip address for the ethernet
interface. as the other router doesn't work at all,
how can i router go to find the server even the
ehternet interface is down? or is it possible?
