How much DRAM is loaded in your routers. I tried the Hutnik / Satterlee
 labs
with my 2500's and only 8MB and every time I would try to clear the BGP
 table
they would reboot. I finally had to use 16MB sticks. I don't know what
models you are using, but I would suggest 16MB MIN, because BGP is very
 memory / processor intensive.

Anyone had a router reset when the bgp Default Originate command was issued
 in
  the config

the IOS version I am running is 12.1(5)T9

I have tried this in 3 routers with the same problem so I am sure its not a
  hardware issue - ???

any suggested patches or workarounds !!
