Run confreg and modify the boot parameters. If you need to load an IOS
into flash use tftpdnld.

Subject: OT: basic 2600
Basic question here (I'm kinda embarassed to ask it - must be Tuesday
mental
block)
I have a new 2600 with empty flash. I boot to Rom Monitor and change my
config register to boot from ROM (0x2101). But I still get the
following:
device does not contain a valid magic number
boot: cannot open "flash:"
boot: cannot determine first file name on device "flash:"
Why is it still trying to boot from flash?
TIA
