I would imagine that you could get 3-4 2500-series routers for that sum give
or take.
The virtues of what to buy for a home lab are regularly discussed here; I
would imagine that a search of the archives for "home lab" would produce
quite a wealth of info (I just did it and got 20 hits in the month of
November alone).
