1. A straight-through Category 5 cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends
should work
2. Connect the cables first, then do a ring 4 (unless you have a device on
the ring that's already running 16) and no shut on the token ring interface
3. If it doesn't work on the first MAU port, shutdown the router t/r
interface, move the cable to another MAU port, and no shut the interface
again. Repeat until you find a MAU port with a good set of relays
