Ian: A straight thru cat5 cable is the one to use. Make sure all 8
wires are connected since Token Ring uses different pins from Ethernet.
(1,2,4,5 vs 1,2,3,6).
Configure ring speed 16 and no shut on the token ring interface.

If this doesn't work, try another port on the MAU; reset the MAU if it
has a battery; and as a last ditch effort, connect the ring in/ring out
ports with a patch cable. ( I had some MAUs where this worked.)
