I could be wrong, but I don't think that the terminal type db-9
to rj-45 adapters will work. I have used what is termed a "media
filter" successfully. I believe the pinout is different from the
terminal adapter. If you change the pinout on the terminal
adapter, it should work. You can probably find out the info
needed to change the pinout of the terminal adapter on CCO. Like
