Port spanning on Cat 5000

Anyone ever run into this problem? :

After spanning a port to do some sniffing, once finished I "set span
disable" and the receiving port will not reconnect back out to the network.
I even tried "set port enable 2/10" to enable the port.

I have experienced this problem twice but usually it does not happen.
Stumped...
