All I did was add the no peer neighbor-route command to both routers' BRI
interfaces and it fixed the flapping problem. A lot of people emailed me
and told me to filter a Type 5 LSA, but I didn't need to do it in this case.
  I'm sure there must be a scenario that calls for it since so many people
are aware of it, but Peter Whittle's explanation and solution were perfect
for my problem. I am curious to find out whether or not it would work the
same with dialer interfaces. I suppose it would...

That's a great trick. It would have saved me a couple thousand dollars to
have known. Is it used in conjunction with the distribute-list filters or
is it a replacement for those filters?
