Another quick point as the below isn't quite clear enough, Local Pref may signi
fy an exit point from the AS, but will in no way provide routing toward that ex
it point. A wild amount of next hop self rewriting could potentially provide t
his (and does in some networks) but this is more of a cludge than the proper us
e of BGP.
