Adam: The key to having the text file work is to extend the time
between tries. As you have observed when there is a small delay you
only get the first ping.
In Hyperteminal go to the ASCII setup under settings and change the line
delay to something like 1000 ms. Your pings should then work; if not,
increase the time.
To have this work consistently you will want to map local interfaces
under frame relay
so a local ping also works.
