Hi. Regarding the full/half duplex issue. You can force a port on the
3900 switch to be a particular mode. Under the Port Configuration menu,
select the port you want to change. The "Operation Mode" parameter can
be set for half duplex or full duplex.

Regarding the second question. One thing I noticed is that the IP
settings aren't applied until you exit the IP configuration menu. In
other words, I found that if I tried to ping right after configuring the
IP address, it did not work. If I exit, then re-enter the menu to ping,
it would work. Another thing to check is whether your bridging mode on
the CRF is SRT or SRB. For simplicity, try SRT. There is plenty of
discussion on the difference between the two if you would like to learn
