The prayer is effective 100% IF one truly believes in Allah! And effective
in the sense of FAITH does NOT mean one will definitely be rewarded for
their efforts right NOW. Allah knows best & rewards in the most merciful
ways.

My advise is to do minimum Cisco a couple of days before the exam & maximise
the prayers. I heavily recited the prayer "His binilAllha-O- namil wakil"
This is the prayer prophet Abraham recited when he was thrown into the fire.
Approximate translation is "Allah is sufficient for us and Allah is best one
to relay upon"
