Solve the problem? It sounds more like mask the problem. 'Carrier-delay
20' will cause the interface to wait 20 seconds after carrier loss to
report a link-down event (the default is 2 seconds). In the long-run, I
would think it would be in your best interests for your carrier to fix
the root cause of the problem, rather than have you mask it.

Subject: Carrier-delay command

Hello!

I've having problems providing service to my client by means of a Frame
Relay, because there is very frecuent lost of carrier. Then the serial
line goes down for a few seconds only, but sometimes the PVCs go down
too.

The frame relay provider says that I must put in the serial interface
the command "carrier-delay 20" to solve theses problems.

Do yo know that command and what does it exactly?

Thank you very much and best regards
