Hi evry one,
when u remove a subinterface, normally this message
appears. what does it mean.
Termserver(config)#no interface s0.123
% Not all config may be removed and may reappear after
reactivating the sub-interface
Termserver(config)#
1. It menas that if I rebulit the subinteface all the
configs will be there on teh subinterafce?
-But it did not happen when I tried.
2. But when u type
Termserver#sh ip interface brief
Interface IP-Address OK? Method
Status Protocol
Loopback0 2.2.2.2 YES NVRAM up
up
Serial0 unassigned YES unset up
up
Serial0.123 unassigned YES NVRAM
deleted down
Serial1 unassigned YES unset
administratively down down
TokenRing0 unassigned YES unset
administratively down down
Termserver#
U can see that the interafce has been shown as deleted
but how to clear it from the table.
Is reboot only method for clearing this or any
command.
2. Some one posted a meaage regarding this long back.
I think that was Chuck Lourie. Can u pls repeat the
same. sorry to asking. I could not get it in the
