Hi,
I've found out that the deadtimer at R5 (peer with R6 Bri) is NOT being
suppressed when I redistribute BGP route to OSPF at R1, I tested it by
putting in the redistribute command at R6( connected to ospf, bgp to OSPF),
R5(IGRP to ospf) and R1 (BGP to OSPF) ONE BY ONE and observe the "sh ip ospf
neig" and found that the the last action (at R1) redistribute BGP route to
OSPF causing the deadtimer at R5 Bri0 to be continuosly there, while the
rest of the redistrition action will only cause R5 to activate the ISDN, but
the deadtimer (peer with BRI0) will still countdown to 0 and suppressed.

But I've using route-map to redistribute bgp to OSPF by only permit the
network in R7 and E0 network int R1, don't understand why the hello is still
send ?

Am I missing something?

Cheong

Hi, pl look at the "sh ip os neig" in R5 & R6, the dead time column is "-"
for R6, but in R5, the dead time number is keep on displaying (resetting by
Hello), the config is having "ip ospf demand-circuit at one side" , after
the following scenario happen, I tried to put the demand-circuit command at
both router but the result is still the same, furthermore, this result is
achieve without any IGRP in place, just want to make sure that IGRP is no
the culprit at this moment.

Help!!
Cheong
